The State of Accessible Tourism in Slovenia Based on Selected Cases

Povzetek

Dostopni turizem je področje turizma, namenjeno osebam s posebnimi potrebami. Pomembna vidika sta fizična dostopnost ter dostopnost do resničnih in preverjenih informacij o dostopnosti posamezne turistično privlačne točke oziroma namestitve. V članku smo strnili ugotovitve terenskega pregleda fizične dostopnosti izbranih lokacij (stanje pomlad/poletje 2023) v obalno-kraški in pomurski statistični regiji ter anketne raziskave iz leta 2023 o stanju dostopnega turizma v Sloveniji, ki je bila namenjena gibalno oviranim osebam.

Accessible tourism is a field of tourism intended for people with special needs. Two very important aspects of accessible tourism are physical accessibility as well as both the accessibility and reliability of online information. The article describes the main findings from the field surveys of the selected locations – physical accessibility (the state in spring/summer 2023) – in the Coastal‒Karst and Mura statistical regions and it also summarizes the most important findings from the survey on the opinion of people with physical disabilities on the state of accessible tourism in Slovenia, which was carried out in the same period.
