USPOSABLJANJE IZ PRVE POMOČI KOT VIR ZA OBVLADOVANJE ZDRAVSTVENIH TEŽAV STAROSTNIKOV V NARAVNIH IN DRUGIH NESREČAH
Povzetek
Starostniki so ogrožena skupina glede tveganja za nastanek akutnih ali poslabšanja kroničnih bolezenskih stanj in poškodb. Analize odziva v nekaterih ujmah kažejo, da je tudi njihova pripravljenost na naravne nesreče slabša. Eden izmed načinov za obvladovanje zdravstvenih težav starostnikov je tudi usposabljanje iz prve pomoči, ki je prilagojeno tej vse številčnejši populaciji. Raziskovalci ugotavljajo, da imajo starostniki manj znanja o prvi pomoči v primerjavi z mlajšimi, ker se o tem še niso usposabljali ali pa je od usposabljanja minilo že več let. Vendar so tudi starostniki sposobni izvajati postopke prve pomoči. Ob naravnih in drugih nesrečah spada znanje prve pomoči v nabor temeljnih znanj, ki bi jih moral obvladati vsak. V prispevku razpravljamo o nujnem sistematičnem pristopu k usposabljanju iz prve pomoči za starostnike, tudi v Sloveniji.
