RAZISKAVE IN IZOBRAŽEVANJE: BISTVEN ELEMENT NACIONALNE INFRASTRUKTURE ZA JEDRSKO VARNOST

Povzetek

Slovenija je najmanjša jedrska država na svetu. Na voljo ima le polovico elektrike in drugih koristi jedrske elektrarne v Krškem. Pripadajo pa ji vse dolžnosti in odgovornosti za njeno varno delovanje. Ključna dolžnost in odgovornost vsake jedrske države je postaviti, vzdrževati in razvijati nacionalno kritično infrastrukturo za jedrsko varnost. Med bistvene elemente nacionalne infrastrukture za jedrsko varnost spadata tudi dolgoročni raziskovalni program in na njem temelječe visokošolsko izobraževanje. Tudi odlično upravljana in vzdrževana jedrska elektrarna bo ob podhranjenem in nestabilnem financiranju raziskav dolgoročno le z velikimi težavami ohranjala zaupanje v jedrsko varnost, zato utegnemo brez domačih raziskav kmalu izgubiti zaupanje javnosti v varnost jedrske energije. Izboljšanje in nadaljnji razvoj kritične nacionalne strokovne infrastrukture, vključno z raziskavami in izobraževanjem, sta torej naša skupna vitalna nuja. Postati bi morala stičišče prizadevanj vseh, ki se trudijo podnebne spremembe obvladati tudi z nizkoogljično jedrsko elektriko. Dolžnost in odgovornost zagotoviti primerne vire in dovolj sredstev za ta namen ostajata v rokah države, ki je to obvezo z mednarodnimi pogodbami sprejela že pred desetletji.
