IZOBRAŽEVANJE ZA PRIHODNOST: PODNEBNE SPREMEMBE IN IZJEMNI OKOLJSKI DOGODKI ZAHTEVAJO VEČ VSEBIN O ZAŠČITI IN REŠEVANJU V ŠTUDIJSKIH PROGRAMIH

Povzetek

Družbene, tehnološke in podnebne spremembe so hitre, žal pa se nanje kot družba odzivamo prepozno. Pod­nebne spremembe prinašajo pogostejše ekstremne vremenske pojave in z njimi povezane naravne nesreče. Te so nas večinoma doletele nepripravljene, ne le v civilni družbi, temveč tudi v okviru izobraževalnih programov, zato moramo študente podrobno seznaniti z delovanjem sistema varstva pred naravnimi in drugimi nesrečami. S študenti Univerze v Novi Gorici smo v sodelovanju s sodelavci izpostave Uprave RS za zaščito in reševanje iz Postojne že leta 2022 začeli izvajati simulacijo delovanja regijskega štaba civilne zaščite ob naravni nesreči. Odziv študentov na simulacijo je bil pozitiven. Ugotovili smo, da študenti sicer ne vedo dovolj o delovanju sistema varstva pred naravnimi in drugimi nesrečami, vendar jih ta tematika zelo zanima. Vpeljava dodatnih vsebin s tega področja v študijske programe oziroma študijske dejavnosti je zato smiselna in smo jo začeli vanje tudi uvajati. Za učinkovit sistem je pomembna dvosmerna komunikacija – na eni strani, da pridejo znanstveni izsledki v prakso, na drugi strani pa je pomembna povratna informacija s terena o njihovi učinkovitosti. Nekatere univerze so že dejavne na tem področju in so pripravile posebne univerzitetne programe, ki jih redno posodabljajo.
