PODNEBNE RAZMERE V SVETU LETA 2012
Povzetek
Na svetovni ravni leto 2012 po temperaturi zraka in padavinah ni odstopalo od zadnjih nekaj let. Poleti so se marsikje v Evropi, ZDA in na Japonskem spopadali z neznosno vročino. Januarja, februarja in decembra je bil zlasti na severovzhodu Severne Amerike in v notranjosti Evrazije hud mraz. Obilno deževje je bilo najsilovitejše na jugu in vzhodu Azije ter v osrednji Afriki, izjemne razmere so bile med drugim tudi v Veliki Britaniji, Avstraliji in Španiji. ZDA so se že drugo leto zapored spopadale z obsežno sušo, precej škode so povzročili tudi požari. Ti so prav tako divjali marsikje po Sredozemlju in v Sibiriji. Na skrajnem severu so bili doseženi novi podnebni mejniki – rekordi v taljenju snega in ledu.
