POTRESI IN CUNAMIJI
Povzetek
Ob tektonskih potresih, ki nastanejo v morskem dnu, se pojavijo včasih tudi cunamiji. Zato je precej razširjeno prepričanje, da ti potresi povzročajo cunamije. Po drugi strani pa lahko razumemo potres in cunami kot dva pojava, ki nista povezana kot vzrok in posledica drug drugega, ampak kot dve različni posledici istega vzroka, npr. nenadnega pomika tektonskih plošč. Razumevanje povezave med potresi in cunamiji je odvisno od opredelitve pojma potres.
