THE TEMPERATURE OF RIVERS AND LAKES IN 2019 AND 2020
Abstract
In 2019, the mean temperature of rivers at the 40 selected gauging stations was 11.3°C, in comparison to 11°C in 2020. In both years, it was higher than the 30-year average (1981-2010). The mean periodic temperature of rivers at the selected stations is 10°C. In 2019, the temperature of Lake Bled and Lake Bohinj was 1.1°C and 1.6°C higher respectively than in the reference period, while Lake Bled was 0.9°C and Lake Bohinj 1.1°C warmer in 2020. In the 1981-2010 period, the mean temperature of Lake Bled was 13°C, and 10°C for Lake Bohinj.
