PRESENTATION OF REGISTER OF FOREST ROADS WEB-APP AND ITS USE IN RECORDING DAMAGE CAUSED BY DISASTERS IN 2014
Abstract
The Register of Forest Roads is a web tool integrated into the forest road information system. This application, which provides an overview of the forest road network, is accessible to the expert and general public on the basis of the assigned rights. It is useful not only in forestry but in other fields as well. The web tool was upgraded for the purposes of recording damage after disasters, which resulted in highly efficient cataloguing of damage to forest roads in the affected municipalities. This article describes the development of the forest road information system, the Register of Forest Roads web tool and the module for recording damage used in all four disasters in 2014.
