SLOVENIAN ARMED FORCES DEVOTE MUCH ATTENTION TO FIRE PREVENTION
Abstract
The Slovenian Armed Forces (SAF) compiles work statistics at the end of each year. No fires in buildings managed by the SAF have been recorded in the final reports over the past decade. We, therefore, asked the General Staff to tell us about the organisation of the fire protection service and who is responsible for fire safety. The information would not have been complete without presenting the only professional fire fighting and rescue unit of the SAF, which is stationed at the Cerklje ob Krki Airport. This unit is unique as its members are professional servicemen and professional fire fighters at the same time.
