HIGH WATERS AND FLOODS IN NOVEMBER 2013
Abstract
2013 was hydrologically a wet year. November was the wettest month, when rivers flooded twice. From 8th to 11th November, rivers flooded most parts of the country in areas of annual flooding. The Krka River floods covered a slightly wider flood area. On 23rd and 24th November, the river flooded only the eastern part of the country. The highest discharges were reached by the Krka, Dravinja, Sotla and Mestinjščica Rivers. The Krka River reached a discharge similar to the one in the previous event. Nevertheless, there were no major floods in 2013.
