STORM WINDS IN SLOVENIA IN 2013

Abstract

In Slovenia, wind levels were below average across a large part of Slovenia, while in central Slovenia, Zasavje, Koroška, Dravsko-Ptujsko polje, part of the Slovenske gorice and the Prekmurje region they were above average. The strongest wind blew in January, March, November and December during the bora wind, during the storms on 29th July, as a strong north wind during 24th and 27th November and as a strong south-west wind during 24th and 26th December. Most damage was caused during the storms on 27th July, and strong north wind and bora wind during 9th and 12th November.
