NEW MOBILE CHEMICAL LABORATORY AND UPGRADING OF THE MOBILE RADIOLOGICAL LABORATORY AS PART OF THE ECOLOGICAL LABORATORY WITH A MOBILE UNIT (ELMU) OF THE JOŽEF STEFAN INSTITUTE

Abstract

With the financial assistance of the Administration of the Republic of Slovenia for Civil Protection and Disaster Relief (ACPDR) a project was launched in 2014 aimed at upgrading the capabilities of the Ecological Laboratory with a Mobile Unit (ELMU) of the Jožef Stefan Institute (JSI). The clapped-out ELMU mobile chemical laboratory (MCL) vehicle will be replaced by a new modern multi-purpose vehicle. The new MCL will be equipped to include new analysis and sampling capabilities, while the ELMU mobile radiological laboratory (MRL) will be equipped with a mobile dosimetry system and new radiation early warning systems.
