PARADANA 2013 – THREE-DAY INTERNATIONAL CAVE RESCUE EXERCISE
Abstract
The paper describes the conduct of a complex cave rescue exercise Paradana 2013. This three-day international exercise was a largescale activity performed in closing the twoyear EU Proteus project. The project was run by the Cave Rescue Service of Slovenia with partners from Croatia (Croatian Mountain Rescue Service – Cave Rescue Commission). There were nearly 200 participants coming from different services and organisations of protection and rescue system. The exercise was carried out successfully and achieved the EU Proteus project’s main aim, i.e. to prove competence and coordination of join operation of cave rescue workers from Croatia and Slovenia in a major cave rescue activity.
