ENGINEERING SEISMOLOGICAL TERMINOLOGY DICTIONARY
Abstract
Engineering Seismological Terminology Dictionary, prepared by Dr Janez K. Lapajne during more than 20-year period, comprises seismological, tectonic and seismotectonic terms, which are important for seismology, engineering seismology, earthquake engineering and related sciences. It is published online on the Termania dictionary portal by publishers Amebis d.o.o. and Slovenian Environment Agency. The dictionary includes 413 entries. Some thematic chapters, on which the dictionary is based, were periodically published by the author between 1989 and 2011 in Professional Language Section of the Ujma journal. The dictionary is primarily intended for seismologists, geologists and earthquake engineers, but also for all others involved in writing about earthquakes and seismological issues.
