INTERNATIONAL CONSORTIUM ON LANDSLIDES – ICL
Abstract
In Slovenia, landslides are among the most common natural hazards. Their investigation is complex and cannot be closed into narrow professional circles without interdisciplinary and international cooperation. The paper presents the International Consortium on Landslides (ICL), which celebrated its 10th Anniversary in 2012. Since 2008, the Faculty of Civil and Geodetic Engineering, University of Ljubljana, has participated in its activities . The paper furthermore presents successful activities of this consortium in the field of landslide risk mitigation, and collaboration of various experts from Slovenia in it.
