Abstract

The Seismology and Geology Office of the Slovenian Environment Agency has published the twentieth annual publication “Earthquakes in…”. The publication contains 16 expert articles from different areas of seismology. Seven articles describe the operation of the Slovenian seismic network, the modernisation of seismological equipment and an analysis of the influence of temperature variations on the equipment’s performance. Seismological articles describe seismic activity in 2010, characterised by earthquakes near Postojna, Ilirska Bistrica and Naklo, the production of the new seismic intensity map of Slovenia and an overview of the world's largest earthquakes. The last article provides a short translation of the European Macroseismic Scale EMS-98.
