EARTHQUAKES IN 2008

Abstract

The Seismology and Geology Office of the Environmental Agency of the Republic of Slovenia has published the eighteenth annual publication »Earthquakes in the year ... «. In the first part, the operation of the seismic network of Slovenia is presented, followed by texts about the seismic activity in Slovenia. The publication also includes two articles co-written by colleagues of the Institute of Earthquake Engineering and Engineering Seismology, Skopje, FYROM, (IZIIS) and Department of Geology, Faculty of Natural Sciences and Engineering, University of Ljubljana. The last part of the publication is dedicated to the world seismicity and the strongest event with the most casualties – the earthquake in China. The international activity of the staff of the Seismology and Geology Office is presented by comprehensive reports at the end of publication.
