SEVERE WEATHER IN SUMMER 2008

Abstract

Slovenia was heavily affected by numerous severe thunderstorms accompanied by hail, severe wind gusts and heavy rainfall during the summer of 2008. Severe weather caused immense damage to property and agriculture. The article describes the weather characteristics of severe thunderstorms which took place on July 7, July 13 and 14, August 8 and 9, August 15 and August 23 and 24.
