Abstract

Earthquake activity was moderate in 2007. The inhabitants felt more than 44 earthquakes. The strongest earthquakes were on 26 May at 06.03 UTC near Zilje, on 29 September at 01.24 UTC near Cirje, and on 18. December at 03.26 UTC near Rakovec, each with local magnitude 3.0. The earthquakes on 26 September at 19.47 and 21.39 UTC (or 21.47 and 22.39 Central European time) with hypocentres in the vicinity of Brežice and with magnitudes of 2.8 and 2.9 respectively had the strongest effects and reached an intensity of V-VI EMS-98.
