CHARACTERISTICS OF SEISMIC EQUIPMENT IN THE SEISMIC NETWORK OF SLOVENIA
Abstract
Ground movements resulting from earthquakes depend on the earthquake’s magnitude and the distance from the hypocenter to the point of observation; they are measured using a seismograph. The project “Modernization of the Seismic Network of Slovenia” started in 2000. Seismic stations were equipped with Quanterra Q730 data loggers and Guralp CMG-40T seismometers. Recently some of seismic stations were upgraded with broadband seismometer Guralp CMG-3ESPC or STS-2. In this study we present the most important characteristics of the seismic equipment installed in the Seismic Networkof Slovenia.
