THE USE OF TETRA FOR TELEMETRY AND TELECONTROL IN PROTECTION AGAINST NATURAL AND OTHER DISASTERS
Abstract
Telemetry and telecontrol are indispensable in many applications; one of the important applications is protection against natural and other disasters. The digital professional mobile radio system TETRA is a modern and reliable solution for transmission of data between a control centre and remote stations. Under the “Professional mobile communication system for MORS” project we developed a pilot system that uses TETRA to transfer temperature measurement data from a remote location to the control centre and to trigger alarms at the remote location from the control centre.
