Abstract

In 2007, Slovene seismology celebrated its 110th anniversary. On this occasion we remember the first earthquake observation station and its founder, Albin Belar. In 2009, Slovene seismologists celebrate the 50th anniversary of the post-war modern seismology and the man responsible for it, Vladimir Ribarič.
