Abstract

Seventeen publications in a row “Earthquakes in year …”were issued by the Office for Seismology and Geology of the Agency of the Republic of Slovenia. In the first part, the publication discusses the operation of the national network of earthquake observation stations. In the second part, the earthquake activity in Slovenia is discussed, followed by texts on issues and improvements in the operation of the national network instruments. 2007 marked the 110th anniversary of the first earthquake observation station in Slovenia and so a long article is dedicated to the historical overview of the development of the instrumental seismology in Slovenia. The publication concludes with a description of earthquakes all over the world.
