Abstract

To commemorate the 50th anniversary of modern seismology in Slovenia, the publishing house Tehniška založba Slovenia published a book entitled Restless Earth which discusses earthquakes at home and abroad. The book was published as an attachment to the magazine Življenje in Tehnika (Life and Technique) and 14,000 copies were printed. The book is aimed at non-specialist readers since it deals mainly with the practical aspects of earthquakes and less with the theory. The book is enhanced by several pictures and photographs.
