CLIMATE IN 2007
Abstract
The rising trend in the average temperature continued in 2007. The mean annual temperature was significantly above the 1961–1990 average. At the coast, 2007 was the warmest ever recorded, in Ljubljana and Novo Mesto the second warmest. Long-term average precipitation in the period 1961–1990 was exceeded in the Koroška region and part of the Štajerska region, in part of Prekmurje, in Bela Krajina and in Bizeljsko. A significant negative anomaly was observed in western Slovenia and in Lesce and the surrounding area. At the coast, 2007 was the fourth driest ever. The long-term bright sunshine average duration was exceeded.
