FLOOD TREATS AND THE CONSEQUENCES OF RESIDUAL RISKS EVENTS
Abstract
The frequency and intensity of flood events and increasing human activities along water corridors are the main reasons why floods are among the most serious disasters. Flood threats represent an amalgamation of hazard and vulnerability as well as the sensitivity of humans, structures or activities. Flood zone maps, which show the locations of possible damage consequences related to floods, are the basis for the question/decision, to what extent would the risk in areas with anthropogenic activities be assumed. In the event of a force majeure occurrence, when the natural catastrophe exceeds the project discharge or assumed risk area, the consequences of residual risk are materialized.
