WIND LEVELS IN SLOVENIA IN 2006
Abstract
We compare wind levels at ten measuring stations in 2006 in relation to the ten-year period 1995-2004. Wind levels in Slovenia in 2006 were average throughout almost the entire country, except for some measuring stations in the central part, where they were slightly above average and in Vipavska dolina and at the Coast, where they were below average. At lowland stations other than those in Primorska, there was above average wind in four months, in Primorska below average or average wind in all months. In the last twenty years, we can still note a slight fall in average annual wind speed at half of the chosen measuring sites.
