INFORMATION ON THE RESEARCH ACTIVITIES OF THE DEFENCE RESEARCH CENTRE IN THE SPHERE OF CRISIS MANAGEMENT AND LEADERSHIP

Abstract

The Defence Research Centre at the Institute of Social Sciences is carrying out a major project within the framework of the research programme »SCIENCE FOR SECURITY AND PEACE«, entitled »Concept of psychological defence and crisis communication«, consisting of three sub-projects: Model of assessing threats to the national security of the Republic of Slovenia, Creating a system of crisis management in the Republic of Slovenia and the Concept of psychological defence and crisis communication. It is an interdisciplinary project in the sphere of assessing threats to national security, crisis management and leadership, and psychological defence or its transformation into crisis communication. The article also presents the key theoretical starting points and aims and probable positive effects of the research results on the further development of crisis management and leadership in Slovenia.
