COMMUNICATION AND INFORMATION SUPPORT OF THE SYSTEM OF PROTECTION AGAINST NATURAL AND OTHER DISASTERS

Abstract

The article deals with communication and information support of the system of protection against natural and other disasters. The aforementioned system is one of three pillars of national security in the Republic of Slovenia. Communication and information support in the area of protection against natural and other disasters is provided through the system of monitoring, notification and raising the alarm, as one of the key systems in this area. This is based on autonomous communication and information systems, as well as program applications conceived in the Monitoring, Notification and Alarming Sector of the Administration of the Republic of Slovenia for Civil Protection and Disaster Relief, which were set up through the assistance of foreign contract partners.
