Abstract

The Institute of Earthquake Engineering and Engineering Seismology (IZIIS) Skopje, organised the International Conference Earthquake Engineering in 21st Century from 28 August to 1 September 2005, to markthe 40th anniversary of their institute. Experts from the Environmental Agency of the Republic of Slovenia, Seismology and Geology Office, contributed two papers to the conference. We were presented at the official opening of the conference, which took place in the IZIIS premises on August 27, 2005. During our return, we also visited the Institute of Seismology in Tirana, Albania and Republic Hydrometeorological and Seismological Institute in Banja Luka, Serbian Republic - Bosnia and Herzegovina.
