COOPERATION BETWEEN THE REPUBLIC OF SLOVENIA AND THE KINGDOM OF SWEDEN IN THE AREA OF PROTECTION AGAINST NATURAL AND OTHER DISASTERS

Abstract

The Administration of the Republic of Slovenia for Civil Protection and Disaster Relief (ACPDR) and the Swedish Rescue Services Agency (SRSA) have in recent years developed very strong bilateral relations in the area of protection against natural and other disaters. ACPDR and SRSA have established cooperation mainly in the areas of: education and training for the system of protection against natural and other disasters, exchange of information and experience in the field of prevention and preparedness, exchange of information and other knowledge concerning documents and literature in research and development programmes, cooperation in international initiatives and organisations and within the European Union.
