INFORMATION SYSTEM TO SUPPORT RESPONSE TO 112 EMERGENCY TELEPHONE CALLS
Abstract
The Administration of the Republic of Slovenia for Civil Protection and Disaster Relief (ACPDR) is constructing an information system to support responses to the 112 emergency telephone number. The integration of previously separate systems for processing telephone calls, the GIS-UJME geographical information system, system for alerting recipients of personal calls, the public alarm system, and web applications with data on the most common hazardous substances in Slovenia and their upgrading into a modern information tool to support decision-making will allow operators to make faster, more reliable, and better decisions in the regional notification centres. Some data from the 112 system will be input data to the web system for reporting on Protection and Rescue Forces.
