ANALYSIS OF COMMUNICATIONS WITH THE PUBLIC RELATED TO POTENTIAL MILLENNIUM BUG HAZARDS
Abstract
The events at the end of 1999 related to the public warning about a possible crisis due to the millennial bug following the turnover into the new millennium are analysed. The authors found that the warning received exaggerated publicity in the media, which was at least partly the consequence of inadequate contacts between the Administration and the media.
