Abstract

The project partners of Erasmus+ Environmental Protection and Natural Disasters organised a second international interdisciplinary Summer School for doctoral students in 2017. The main topic of the Summer School, which was held in Ljubljana (21 May-10 June 2017), was natural disasters. Twenty-eight students from all over the world attended the Summer School, which lasted for three weeks and was implemented by blended learning methodology. The content was mainly related to floods, droughts, earthquakes, and landslides. Part of the activities took place at a distance, through the website www.let-group.com, which was created within the project. On the website, visitors can find many interesting and informative video lectures of world-renowned experts who shared their knowledge and experiences with the participants at both Summer Schools organised within the project.
