THE FLOODED COAST IN SPRING AND THE EXTENDED SWIMMING PERIOD IN 2016

Abstract

The paper offers the overview of the dynamics and the temperature of the sea in 2016. What is characteristic of the year 2016, similarly as the previous years, is that the mean annual sea elevation was once again above average; the flooding of the sea in March and a slightly higher undulation of the sea in July than usual for this month. The sea was more warm than usual and the temperature of the sea remained appropriate for swimming late into the fall.
