SLOVENIA'S PARTICIPATION IN INTERNATIONAL RESCUE OPERATIONS IN 2016
Abstract
In 2016, Slovenia actively participated in the provision of international rescue assistance in large-scale natural and other disasters abroad. It took part in four international rescue operations within the Union Civil Protection Mechanism, sending both, the in-kind assistance and three experts to the affected countries. At a bilateral level, Slovenia rendered assistance to one country. In the future, Slovenia will continue to promote the development of capabilities for effective participation in international rescue operations.
