ANALYSIS OF ACCIDENTS AND RESCUE WORK IN 1999
Abstract
The Slovenian Mountain Rescue Service performed 197 rescue operations in 1999. This is similar to the number of rescue operations performed in previous years. An increase was observed in the number of rafting and kajak accidents on the Soča River, as well as paragliding accidents. Half of the deaths of fatally injured mountaineers were caused by heart attack.
