ABOUT THE »CRISIS MANAGEMENT IN EUROPE« RESEARCH PROJECT

Abstract

This contribution presents the endeavours of the Slovene Administration for Civil Protection and Disaster Relief and the Civil Defense Sector of the Ministry of Defense of the Republic of Slovenia for active participation in the international research project »Crisis Management in Europe«, with the assistance of the members of the scientific community. The author points to the probable positive effects of research results on the development of the crisis management system in Slovenia, and presents the purpose, goals and contents of research activities. The contribution outlines the theoretical background of the research project and the methodological approach to the empirical study of ten crisis cases in Slovenia.
