HOW TO CONNECT THE BEARERS OF AVALANCHE SECURITY IN SLOVENIA

Abstract

The article presents the main factors and bearers of avalanche security and the promoters of snow-and avalanche-related knowledge in Slovenia since 1912, particularly in the 1960’s and afterwards. The author describes their tasks, sums up their development, ups and downs, and calls attention to the current lack of cooperation among them. The author concludes with a proposal for the formation of a coordination commission on the state level, indicating the main tasks of the commission in enhancing the efficacy and mutual transfer of knowledge between existing security bodies.
