C’est la conception-même de la traduction de la Bible qui exerce une influence sur l’orientation littéraire de cette traduction : en exigeant les textes intégraux, la Réforme ouvrait de larges possibilités. Par conséquent, les traductions en slovène de l’Evangile selon Saint Mathieu du 16e siècle reprennent l’histoire intercalée en forme littéraire sur la mort de Jean Baptiste tandis que les traductions catholiques des extraits du 17e siècle, sélectionnées en manière des leçons ne le font pas. Il est d’une grande importance que, dans le cadre des principes d’une traduction « fidèle » soient élaborées d’une manière artistique les traductions que Trubar et Dalmatin prenaient en considération et comparaient (Vulgate de Jérôme, la version latine d’Erasme, la Bible allemande de Luther). La traduction de Trubar (1555, 1557, 1582), celle de Dalmatin (1584) et la traduction inédite de Kastelec (1680), malgré les modifications nécessaires de syntaxe et du lexique reprennent avec succès la construction narrative précise de l’original en alternant les optiques personnelles et temporelles (narratio, sermocinatio ; l’étiologie, la polysyndète) et en la complétant d’une manière inventive des figures acoustiques (anaphore, épiphora, homoioptoton, homoioteleuton).References
